Silymarin has besides antifibrotic, immunomodulating, anti-inflammatory effects as well as antioxidant properties by scavenging free radicals and increasing the glutathione concentrations, so that it can be used in hepatitis and hepatic cirrhosis treatment and in mushroom poisoning.

Derived from milk thistle seeds (Silybum marianum), silymarin has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

It combats the detrimental effects of free radicals (toxic molecules) on liver cells.

By enhancing alcohol elimination from blood and tissues, it aids in faster recovery from alcohol intoxication and overall liver protection.

Lecithins belong to a larger group of compounds called phospholipids. These are important parts of the brain, blood, nerves, and other tissues. Phospholipids are also a part of cell membranes. The body uses lecithin in the metabolic process and to move fats.

L-ornithine L-aspartate (LOLA) has been known as an effective ammonia-lowering agent for more than 50 years with good evidence in hepatic encephalopathy. Administration of LOLA removes ammonia via two distinct mechanisms: by synthesis of urea and by the synthesis of glutamine via the enzyme glutamine synthetase.

Niacinamide, also called nicotinamide, is a form of vitamin B3. It's found in many foods including meat, fish, milk, eggs, green vegetables, and cereals.

Niacinamide is required for the function of fats and sugars in the body and to maintain healthy cells. Niacin is converted to niacinamide when it is taken in amounts greater than what is needed by the body. Unlike niacin, niacinamide doesn't help treat high cholesterol.

People use niacinamide to prevent vitamin B3 deficiency and related conditions such as pellagra. It is also used for acne, diabetes, cancer, osteoarthritis, aging skin, skin discoloration, and many other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support most of these uses.

Vitamin B5, also called pantothenic acid, is one of 8 B vitamins. All B vitamins help the body convert food (carbohydrates) into fuel (glucose), which the body uses to produce energy.

These B vitamins, often referred to as B complex vitamins, also help the body use fats and protein.
